Recounts the author's experiences in the French Resistance as a teenager and young woman working undercover in southern France, hiding out in Paris, and serving with the OSS. At the age of 17, the author saw her native France overrun by the Nazis. Working for the Resistance and later for the American OSS, Helene constantly had to put her mission ahead of her safety.
