A series of high-profile disappearances on the Yale campus bring together suspended Boulder police detective Sam Purdy, FBI agent Christopher Poe, and CIA analyst Deirdre Drake as they face off against an unknown enemy who is holding students hostage in the fortress-like tomb of one of the school's oldest secret societies and releasing them one by one to be killed in front of the building until his terrorist demands are met.
